the water itself is so pretty and impressively clear... it was so busy last Sunday afternoon could not find a spot with a chair... but alas, even better there is a grassy hill that is partially sunny / shaded and my daughter and I loved the picnic flavor of our adventure. 2 pools for the kids (kids and then adult/kids) and two adult only pools (one for lounging one for exercise) there is still adults swim hourly to keep the kiddos from getting overexhausted. Fun diving boards and there are 2 or 3 water slides (I personally didn't get a chance to enjoy the slides - but they looked fun). My only gripe is I have no clue where the proper parking lot is located... I had to walk past a lot of cop cars to get to the entrance and I don't know about you - but it is always not that fun to walk past a bunch of cops that might need to meet some ticket quota to maintain budget or somethin'.... especially joco po po.... but still, the PB pool is my favorite in greater kc metro,it was when I was 12 and it maintains that designation at 37. The snack bar is essentially the same as it was when I was 12... for the worse... but that's not really that important

Thank you PV for letting me come to your beautiful pool! As a senior on a fixed income I've been enjoying the "free after 7:30" gesture. However, I quickly discovered it's a hollow one if you need to use the locker room after your swim; they close 10 minutes early. There is no clock at the lap-pool and you can't hear the announcement if you're swimming. There are a multitude of ways to manage this issue. Start by posting the policy like the scrap yard I go to. I called Mayor Mikkelson to address my concerns, but the lady who returned the call didn't seem to care! I guess you can always pee in the pool!? I won't be coming back...

Outstanding outdoor pool complex with 6 different pools. Well run, maintained and managed. Open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. The meters pool is an excellent place to swim laps! Thank you to the pool managers and lifeguards for another excellent summer experience! On the Tuesday after the pool closes, the dogs get a chance to swim.

I just want to start out by saying I love the actual POOL itself; however, this morning I had the WORST customer service experience of my life! Her name is Jane, and she’s the lifeguard manager at the pool (how she got to be a manager is beyond me), I forgot my pool cases (which i never do, but my mom took my pool bag home on accident to Columbia MO and was mailing it back to me first thing Monday). Jane reprimanded me and refused to look me up in the system “because it might crash” were her words. She was only helping the paying customers even though I was the second person to walk in the door at 11:00am. She then refused to write my name down and let us enter the pool, by this time there were several people waiting behind me and I was embarrassed that she was speaking to me like I was a bad person/parent because I had forgotten my card! She even went on to make a comment about how she was a “single mom” herself, hinting that she had it “harder” then me!? All I’m asking for is an apology. I work in health care and would NEVER speak to a patient or family member like that. I left shaking and upset, I guess we’ll more to fairway or Leawood pool...

Do not swim here if you're a competitive swimmer. The policies the lifeguards hold to cater only to old people and kids. No swim team practices here because it's a terrible experience for people who actually want to swim at a decent pace. The only lanes they allow you to swim in are those closest to the lifeguards, despite it being only 8 lanes wide. Because of this, the only lanes open are crowded by old walkers and middle-aged kickers. You have to fight for a spot. The pool is always too hot - again, for the comfort of the old and young. Any fast swimming in this pool causes you to overheat quickly. The showers are always on max heat. There is no heat control. Even in 100° weather, the showers are hot.

Trust me when I say no serious swimmer should ever swim here - I'm a multi-time college national champion (NAIA). The lifeguards act haughty with their detrimental rules which serve no purpose and the experience is overall just uncomfortable. I've only been there a few times, but I would never return to this pool, even if it were free entry, let alone for the waste of...
