Vernon Filley Art Museum — Attraction in Pratt

I visited this museum while passing through Kansas, and wow, was it beautiful. The exhibits were gorgeous, and I only wished they had more space so I could have seen more art during my time there. The staff were very knowledgable and were able to tell me in depth information about the exhibits that were up at the time, plus the other exhibits that have been shown at the Vernon Filley. They also told me about upcoming exhibits, which made me wish I lived closer to this small town gem! For such a small town, they boast a large range of very professional artists. And the gift shop is great as well - such a fantastic array of goods that anyone would love. The next time I'm in town I will certainly stop by to see what exciting new...

I have visited the Filley Art Museum several times and have purchased over 10 different items. I have gifted several of the pieces purchased and each recipient has been thrilled. I have visited many different art vendors around the world, thanks to my military service, and I was impressed at the care the staff at the Filley provided to me, including service after the purchase.

I grew up in Pratt and very much appreciate the community investing in this facility and the Vernon Filley family being so generous. It is definitely an asset to Pratt and the surrounding community.

Well let's get started. The museum is small, but holds some very nice pieces of art, from the surrounding community. It also holds pieces from across the United States also, private collections, and three dimensional pieces. Also available is the opportunity for art classes on site, and other learning experiences. Included on the site is a gift shop, restrooms and drinking water! The Art directors are very knowledgeable and knows some history behind some of the pieces of art. It took me an hour and a half to tour...
