March came in like a LionâŚor rather like Bats and Termites!!
I found a bat in my washing machine! My daughter put me in touch with Rebecca at Big Blue Bug. Rebecca was so knowledgeable and helpful. She came over in 24 hours and wrote up her analysis.
Unfortunately (or fortunately!) for me, she also discovered a huge termite infestation in the basement!
A double header of homeowner nightmares!
Since that initial contact, Casey, one of BBBâs wildlife inspectors, did an extremely thorough search of our house; Climbed into the attic, onto the roof and into the basement. She identified a few possible places of bat entry and termite entry.
Her analysis was complete with detailed photos.
While I wait for the bat evacuation a few weeks away, I called on BBB to send out another inspector to see if in the two weeks that has passed there was any clue to new bats in the attic and basement.
BBB sent out Chris, who not only did a thorough search of the attic and basement in search of bats and droppings, but did so with so much care and empathy for me and my dog who are dealing with this situation, suddenly alone.
Today another BBB team is here exterminating the termites, explaining to me what theyâre looking for, what they found and the treatment they are applying!

   Read moreTruly, I donât understand why anybody hires this company. This company utilizes the same snap traps and poison that you can buy off Amazon or at any hardware store. When you purchase the contract, they tell you, you can call as much as you want and they will come out every four months. Yet, if you have a mouse problem that requires lots of attention and you need more help getting activity down than most people, they tell you that thereâs nothing they can do Besides put out âpreventionâ. For a contract that cost nearly $1000 a year you would think that coming out every other week to help maintain and get rid of rodent activity would not be a Hassle. The sales person that I had told me that it was guaranteed that my activity would be gone yet even when a supervisor came out they told me I had to buy another plan to have the holes in my house, sealed by them. Luckily, one of the technicians that came out, let me know that everything the company uses can be purchased And gave me some helpful tips and tricks about how to seal up my house. After terminating the contract with Big Blue Bug, it only took me about six months to almost stop activity in my house. And it only cost me about $500 to do. To anyone who is thinking about buying this company, I encourage you to just do the work yourself not only will you have greater success but you wonât spend thousands of dollars trying to get rid of mice that they do not...

I always speak to a live person, that values me as a customer, tries to accommodate my appointment schedule and requests, is efficient and friendly. Every technician that has come to my home is professional, neat, efficient and friendly.
Yesterday (Sunday) I called a spoke to a live person that was so helpful, understood my request for someone to come out to my home this morning. I have company arrives at 4 today for a two week visit and didnât want them to see the bugs. When I talked to Debbie this morning, she was so friendly and accommodating in addressing my needs-she arranged someone to arrive before noon today. Bruce called ½ hour before this arrival, and he was efficient and friendly and sprayed where I explained to him what we needed. I also talked to Emma, who was friendly, polite, and was able to help me with getting this email to management.
I donât remember all the technician names that have come out to the house, or all the wonderful people on the phone in the office-but I will say that everyone has been wonderful.
