EDIT--6/13/2023 Oak Brook park district sent me this note when I made the same closure report at Dean Nature Sanctuary on the West end of the Salt Creek 294 under pass.
"...We reached out to the Tollway and asked them to work with the Cook County Forest Preserve to have their website updated. We don't have any control over the project or their website. The tollway said the trail will be closed at least through August and then intermittently after that until project completion by the end of 2026. The project will include the following improvements: • Trail widening and resurfacing • Bridge aesthetics • New railing installation • Rehabilitation of underpasses"
