We parked on the road and went through an entrance that said Do Not Enter. There is a small path through some trees that opens onto the beach. The path is dirty. The beach is beautiful and secluded, mostly families with children. There isn’t much shade. It is a great place for children because it is shallow and warm BUT BE CAREFUL not to go out beyond thigh/waist high on an adult. My 10 year old son was almost swept away by a rip current until a man swimming nearby went after him. The water is perfect until a point where it’s not and it’s difficult to see until you’re in it. The view of the waves breaking over the barrier rocks, along with searching for shells and sea life in the shallows and tidal pools is a great time for young and old(er) alike. Also Great view of the “Birth of the New World” statues.
Lots of little bars and Pincho stands nearby to grab some food and drinks.

I got up to chest high water and the undertow caught me and pulled me out to several feet over my head. If you go in the water stay in the shallow water, I'm talking thigh high tops.
