Hardeman County Historical Museum — Attraction in Quanah

Have you ever seen a working steam locomotive that could fit in the back of a pick-up? Did you know Apollo astronauts, unknown and unauthorized by NASA, left the only known artwork on the moon? Ever been inside a secretive Masonic lodge room? If not, you should stop by to learn and experience this and so much more. A lot of very interesting things to see and amazing stories to hear when you go to this place. You can see the old jail, the items used back in the days (some over 100 years old) and get to know about Quanah Parker. There is a unused bridge outside which is great for photo shoots. Scarlet, the museum guide, is such a sweet person! We unknowingly parked on the wrong side of the museum and she went out of her way and walked all the way from the museum to our car on the other side of the block and showed us around.
