So I did like the place, it's not a swimming area for adults but for them with children. I liked the two slides (one for bigs, one for littles) and the lazy river, the whirlpool, the children's play zone. My daughter is four months and she did enjoy herself, as it was her first time swimming. When we got there I had a small float for her bc I felt it would be safest given neither of us has been in this situation I didn't see any signs, or read on the website that you couldn't have floats. She four months old. I felt like a few people on the staff could have been more understanding and less RUDE about my fear of having her in the pool without a float. They did try to offer me a life vest for her however she is really small. So he unapologetically and demanding said I could just carry her sorry, and even higher management said I couldn't use her float. I want to add the first 30 minutes we were there I was using the float and everything was fine. Nobody care, wasn't in anyone's way. Then they said it had to go. I was very upset and almost left but decided that since it was our first time swimming we would just enjoy the water. I'm not sure if I'll go back because I honestly think it's ridiculous that INFANTS can not have a floating device of the parents choice. That's what's safest. But we stayed about 1.5 hours and had a good time. I also think $15 to get in is pretty high. It's not a bad place but parents beware that your tiny babies must be carried...

Awesome pool for kiddos!!!!! 😁😁💦💦💦👍👍 Of ALL the public Raleigh area pools, THIS one is by FAR the BEST!!! It has a water slide, it has a lazy river, it has a splashpad, it has a WHIRLPOOL, it has water basketball, it has water jets, it has a large public pool area, it has a lap pool area, it allows birthday parties, and they allow pool toys! Great place to take your family for fun swim time! They have two different prices though, depending on whether you pay your local taxes to the City of Raleigh or to the County of Wake… We literally live two miles down the road from the pool, but, they “had” to charge us the higher price for some odd reason… But, if your taxes go to the City of Raleigh, you pay a much cheaper price, makes no logical sense to me at all, but nonetheless, still a great pool! They really need to bring their height requirement down for their water slide though. It’s set really high at 48”….36”-40” would allow a lot more kids to use it. Four feet height requirement is high in my opinion for a children’s water slide. Both Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Great Wolf Lodge’s water slides are not set this high. Even Carnival Cruise-lines brand new ship, the Celebration, that we sailed on over a year ago, my six-year-old son could ride two of the three larger waterslides on it. They all allow smaller kids to ride on most of...

We’ve been going several days a week since school has been out. For all the hundreds of children that come through, the facility is really clean. We have seen them reach capacity a few times, but it has been times when the day campers are there. If you want to get in without waiting, arrive early - you can’t be mad if you read this review but decide to show up at 1PM when the campers are there and have to wait to get in - that’s your own fault.

Read some reviews where the parents were mad that the lifeguards weren’t babysitting their children. There’s always been 5-8 lifeguards on duty, with more in the break room for their rotation. Bring friends with you if you want someone to entertain your children because the lifeguards are there for safety and emergencies - they aren’t babysitters or entertainment pieces.

You can bring your own food, and there’s a vending machine should you want to buy a snack there.

The two things I would change about this facility, is to 1) originally have built separate changing areas for 18 and over and 18 and under, and 2)to have put an area like the party area that has seating only, so there’s a few more places to sit that aren’t in the path of wet swimmers going from place-to-place.

It’s a great pool for...

Came today as my family was meeting at the pool and I was denied entry. My family was already inside and I was not swimming but wanted a dry pass. Was told I couldn’t enter due to pool capacity however the pool was not even half full and there were individuals who had swam and were leaving, the staff just didn’t want to let anyone in. As a member of this community whose tax money goes to help this facility it was very disappointing. The pool opened at 10 am and it was just noon and you’re turning people away due to “capacity” when you have people who were leaving. Usually when a place is at capacity, as people leave others are allowed in. From the time I parked to the time I walked up to the counter about 8 individuals had left and there were only about 6 or 7 waiting in the lobby. City of Raleigh please do better for your tax paying citizens and hire individuals who actually want to work - majority of the staff were in the front office sitting. Photos show just how “at capacity” the pool was at the time I arrived. It’s not even half full and the parking lot was the same way, maybe a third full.
