This is a great little hike down to a rocky beach. At low tide there's tide pools. No fishing on abalone cove. Check the tide schedule if you're looking for tide pools and there are rattle snakes. I think it's $6 for parking but great views and fun walk. When you walk down there's this cute little co-op that's open Tuesday through Thursday that you get to see sometimes and there's a lifeguard done at the end. They are all very friendly and if you're unsure ask they're more than happy to help. If you're hiking right after the rain I suggest bringing a second pair of shoes cuz it is quite muddy and probably a plastic bag to put your muddy shoes in. When we were down there we saw a baby rattlesnake, some pelicans but that's about all. It was right after that offshore storm and The lifeguard said the water level was quite a bit. Great little hike to a beach and fun...

P.S. there's a small cave that you may be able to get close to; it's certainly not safe to climb and go...

If you plan on going, I highly suggest checking the website for trail updates and wear good shoes with grip underneath. There's a small portion of the trail that's really steep and rocky/sandy to get to the...
