Was told to wear a mask but there were 2 of us and we were not by the boats went there to get in steps it's the 16th. of June 1 day past state told everyone you don't need to were a mask out in public unless you have a big crowd. Although the man wasn't wearing one either although when people were coming up on us we would put ours on. So it says public area. We do not go into boat area because we do not own a boat nor are we a guest, we are here to enjoy the outdoors and get our steps in. We bother no one. There was a runner there the man that works there said nothing to him it's seems one sided. Then as we were driving out another man that had on NO mask as he walked on the sidewalk, doing what we were just at and doing. Love the walk don't like the employees. Sometime before this maybe 3 months ago we said hi to a blonde woman on a gulf cart (employee or security) she said nothing, I told her to have a great day anyway and smiled at her she just looked at us and kept driving and no she had no ear phones in ears just a rude person. Yes everyone has a bad day but to not say hi back, it takes less mouth muscles to smile and more muscles to frown. It doesn't cost anybody anything to smile 😁 or to reply back. They are building a restaurant and pool there but you have to be a member which I don't want to join. We never bother anyone. I run a business and you must wear a mask inside but not outside. We follow the county and state rules now if we were to go inside a building at the Marina then we would wear a mask. This business needs to listen to what the county...
Read moreWe docked our boat at Westpoint for Thanksgiving week and we have nothing but positive things to say. The marina is in a very safe area with night-time security at the Google campus gate. The marina itself is super clean-- think pristine, floating concrete docks that do not move when you walk on them, sparkling bathrooms with modern luxury showers, and easy parking. This makes it very easy for taking out family and friends on the water.
The fairways are wide here and the fuel dock is easy to pull up to. They have some of the most reasonable diesel and gasoline prices in the SF Bay too.
Service was great whenever we had questions and both front office and dock staff were very friendly. They respond to email and phone promptly (thanks Sonya and Debbie!). The few permanent liveaboards were the classiest neighbors; boats in this marina are shiny and well-maintained. A couple super yachts are in here too.
The only downside is the distance to SF/GG Bridge/Angel Island. It's 90 minutes at 25 kts to Ayala Cove. But you do get the low-key Peninsula weather that makes this marina a great place to spend time and a low-stress environment in which to dock.
Thanks again and see...
Read moreThis is the newest and one of the best marina's in the bay area. The facilities are really well designed and all very high quality. The docks are all concrete floating docks from Bellingham, with a dock box and water at every slip. Westpoint is very careful when choosing guests and as a result the boats are well cared for and berther's are very nice people. The staff patrols the marina during the day and there is a guard that checks people in to Pacific Shores after 9pm in the evening. The pumpout facility is amazing. Every other slip has a pumpout port. All you need to do to pump out is bring the hose cart to the port, plug it in and pump out your holding tank, without leaving the slip. The high speed wi-fi, available for $50 per month is the best wi-fi I've had in any marina. Stream movies or download big files like you have cable internet on your boat. We spent 4 months here as a transient live-aboard, hoping for permanent live-aboard status. We would stay but the harbor is a little shallow at MLL for our 7.5 ft keel. This is really a great place to slip your boat if you enjoy...
