update 11-3-22 75° with plenty of sun. great day to be outside. walkers, bikers, joggers, rollerbladers, and me. clean, well maintained, never too crowded, a real jewel; mad props to cook county for having places like this.

update 7-20-22: came for a sunset bike ride. plenty of parking, a few joggers, walkers, dog walkers, bikers but plenty of room for everyone on the path. everyone courteous and considerate. facilities clean and orderly, well maintained. spectacular sunset.

Nice for a short 3.25 mile (close to 5k) run. Visually stimulating to see deer in the forest, hear the blue birds and robins chirping, see the green trees, fall foliage, and even winter white snow. Warning: They don't clear the path in the winter when it snows and there's no water fountain in the summer.
