Nice spot water has been a bit high lately so watch your step. Once you go down the stairs most people go to the right. Solid choice. Hippie beach is awesome if you can get there. Its an island maybe a mile to the right. If you go the left definitely as the summer progresses a much rougher path. Lots of greenery but very beautiful and if you are daring some nice people built steps in to the trees so you can climb out up over the water. There used to be a hut over this way but has since been destroyed unfortunately. Lots of nice people normally. lots of fun to be had. Good trails. Beautiful murals have been added as well on the steps. Lots of fires into the evening as...

It’s about an hour in and out, the start point being the north point park. There are sandy spots to post up and swim. It was my first time here and there were only a few people that I saw the entire time. It’s a lot of fun to feel that far in the wild while being in the city. There are ruins of an old mill, lots of bridges, AND a copious amount of snakes (I saw a three footer). I personally like pipeline better for swimming and it’s more accessible. The Texas Beach trail runs up to Pump House as well. Lovely...
