Treasure Island Community Skatepark — Attraction in Richmond

Not only is this the best skatepark in the area imho, but it's also a great community point. With a lot of other parks, you can go there hella frequently and still takes months until you know the locals. With this this park, go about the same time of day and you'll start knowing the regulars within just a few weeks! More kid friendly during the day, more of an adult space in the evenings. Please don't bring your kids here at night! Take them during the day and give them necessary care, supervision, encouragement, etc. At night, it becomes much more of an adult space. It's absolutely crazy, how far this park has come. I remember, when I was a teenager, the place was essentially a concrete pad, with a manny pad and a mini quarter. Where it's progressed to today is absolutely impressive. It will always be my favorite DIY around here, and the fact it's always been that way, just blows my mind. It's a tiny piece of heaven. It's chill, free, safe from business owners and concerned property managers sending in authorities to get skateboarding to stop.
