This is an amazing place. LR (Lone Railroad) is the curator, he is a wealth of knowledge! We even managed to get Mount Helene's ash there. We played with the Telegraph. We got to feel the building shake as one of the trains passed. LR says there are 33 to 50+ trains that pass within 6 feet of the building. I loved everything there, bought hats and hoping he gets out t-shirts in soon! If I had the time I would volunteer to become a curator there. Read moreWe stopped here on July 6th. Fantastic is an understatement. The docent was very knowledgeable and friendly and the exhibits are top notch. She let us go into the caboose (which is a treat in and of itself) and provided a lot of information on the local.
I can't believe there aren't a bunch of reviews about this place. Stop there, then tell everyone you know! If you love trains, history or both, you need to stop here.
