Call before you go....the website is not updated! Went here during the summer of 2015 and had so much fun. Great place for our kids ages 8-3. Tried to go during the summer of 2016...drove all the way from Seattle area to meet friends that live in Spokane. It was the end of August and the website said they were open 7 days a week all through summer. Turns out school started the day we went so they were closed for the season. Super disappointed! Called the Chamber of Commerce to find out this website isn't even maintained anymore. I understand that this is a small town water park, but when it's on the world wide web then they need to take responsibility and know that people will find this and rely on it when planning their trip. The water park itself was very clean and tons of fun especially for the price....just wish we would have been able to enjoy it after our...
Read moreI can’t believe no one was supervising the lifeguards today. The boys were completely out of control. They were loudly communicating with each other about how much they hate their jobs. They were also cussing so much that my 7 year old was upset, asking why they were allowed to swear around little kids. They were talking inappropriately about girls and dating. Then they started leaving their posts and swimming. One guy was up at the top of the slide, and no one would relieve him so he finally went to his next rotation and just closed the slide. There were tiny kids, like two and three year olds, jumping off the diving board, and the lifeguard wasn’t even watching. He was talking to the other life guard or just staring off into the distance. Someone is going to drown, and those boys will be responsible, as will be the management that is...
Read moreThe pool and slide were nice but the lifeguards were awful. I’m from out of town (Idaho), so maybe they do things differently in Ritzville, but I’m accustomed to lifeguards actually doing their jobs. The boys there today were off their posts swimming, cussing, talking about girls, about how awful their jobs were, etc. instead of paying attention to the water and little kids around them. They even refused to rotate positions (too busy swimming) so the guy on the slide closed the slide and rotated without relief. That’s the worst group of lifeguards I’ve ever seen at a pool. Management needs to make sure they are supervising the kids they have hired to protect lives at the pool. Otherwise, someone will eventually drown, probably one of those little kids in life jackets jumping off the diving board that they weren’t paying...
