Ryan's Place Park is one of my family's absolute favorite parks. It's unique compared to most parks, with more of a "wooden" look to it rather than all plastic. There are fun paintings on the playground, such as Rapunzel at the top of a tower. It's fenced in with only two entrances, so although it is quite large, it feels a lot safer to let little ones wander a bit than most parks. There's also a fun area made just for younger kids. There are quite a few benches inside the fence, many of them shaded, so it's a lot more tolerable for parents who just want to watch their kids have fun on a hot day without roasting in the sun. And outside the fence, there is a lot of grass with trees for shade and multiple picnic tables, as well as a cute little gazebo. The only thing it's missing to make it even better for summer is a splash pad! But it does have a handful of "misting stations", which really help with the heat. My kids were bummed to find they were not turned on today, but hopefully they will be running by June. Overall, it's definitely one of the top 3 parks...
Read moreRyan's Place Park is such a fun, unique park! They playground is fantastic and made mostly of wood, and the kids love it! There are bathrooms right next to it, which are super convenient! The playground is also fenced in with a cute wooden fence, which can bring a lot of peace of mind to parents who have children who like to wander! It is a lot harder for them to make it out! There is also a nice sand volleyball court, and a huge grass field just to the north of it that are perfect for older kids or adults who may not want to be on the playground. The best part is that it is in a great neighborhood! We had so much fun there and will definitely...
Read moreGreat neighborhood park up in the Providence - Logan area with large, mature trees and landscaping and a large covered pavilion with tables and benches and a huge fort-like play area for the children! It's quiet and peaceful here. I believe pavilion reservations are required for large parties. The only drawback would be the inability for parents to observe their playing children on the far side of the fort-like playground away from them. The structures and walls are quite high and don't allow total visual contact with children; although, the playground seems very safe and is entirely fenced with small 3 ft. fence. It's a great...
