First of all let me say I am pretty regular here. I play here just about every weekend. Normally this place is awesome and so much fun to play at. Pierre and Ozzie are the best. They make sure everyone is playing safe while also adding an extra level of enjoyment.
Now I will get to the reason for a 3 star. This weekend they brought in a group of people to “revamp” the place. All they did the whole time was implement stupid rules just for the sake of changing rules. Really was more of a power trip than anything safety related. If they want to come in and add new fields and improve the existing fields that’s cool but to go around making up stuff just to make it look like you are doing something useful is ridiculous. One instance one of these new guys told everyone to put there markers on the gravel ground so he could discuss the game we were going to play. Keep in mind we just got off the trailer to the field and everyone had their barrel sleeves on. He was just doing it to power trip. Now most of us who play regularly have pretty expensive markers and there is no way we are throwing them in the gravel just so this guy could have a moment of feeling important to us.
Long story short, if Pierre and Ozzie are running things I can almost guarantee you will have an awesome time. If these other guys are running things then be prepared for a day of them just constantly making...

However. I took my 9 yo son and nephew here to play on a Saturday. This place caters to private parties. "Walk-on players" are only allowed to play when the "walk on" game is called, about every 45-60 min. All "walk on" players must play in the same game, no other option. The "walk-on" group would play $ games back to back before a forced 45-60 min break. This allowed us 4-5 games for the entire day. Every time we walked down to the field we were "assigned", there were multiple empty fields.
The place was packed, which is normally great. However, the games were 20+ players vs 20+ players, on fields that were too small for that amount. This lead to most of the field being eliminated within the first 30 sec. Rewarding those who stayed at the starting flag and hid.
There is also a time limit. Which was very short. More than once the game ended with many players left on the field. In a game w a typical player count the time limit would have been sufficient.
Lastly, the ref we had most of the day (bigger African American dude) was frankly kind of rude to the players, all day. More importantly, there were a lot of young kids, and I don't think this guy went one sentence without using the F word.
We won't be back to DFW...
Read moreWent out to play paintball on a Sunday, which seemed to be their focus of the business for the day.
My first experience was with the staff, who were all fantastic. Every one was very friendly and relaxed with the players, even one of the owners (I believe at least) was making rounds and just conversating with us. First field I've been where I felt that level of care. The ref we had was fantastic and had the same personal touch. All in all I felt appreciated for choosing to play here.
My next experience was with their player base. Now I was playing with the advanced walk-ons, who were a great player base. They were very receptive of playing with me and my friend. I also saw a couple private parties that seemed to be having a fun time.
Facilities were great! They have enclosed bathrooms with showers (as a paintball player I felt spoiled by this). The staging area is large with a couple dozen picnic tables and covered from the sun. Theres a wall of small lockers for valuables if you need it, just bring a lock. The field set ups were largely hyperball style with a few scenario types. I slid a lot further than expected thanks to a reasonable amount of grass, and this saved my body some trouble. There's a trailer that will haul you out to the further fields and cool you off with some breeze as well!
5/5 will go again, even when the heat...
