This park has always been a relaxing, fun place to escape and enjoy nature as I was growing up. When I had children, I brought them here several days a week, weather permitting. They just loved the diversity the park offers. There’s something for everyone to do here. If you want to cool off you can hop in the creek or if you’re chilly, soak up some sunshine while laying out on a blanket in the grass. Plenty of both sun and shade here. One of my favorite places to take in the scenery and sounds is right along the waters edge sitting in the shade on one of the benches. There are several play areas with slides, swings, and other equipment to play on. There are pavilions offering fireplaces that you can grill on and picnic tables to have gatherings. Our family has a family reunion every summer here. You can rent the pavilion for privacy. That’s another feature of this park that I like. Because, the park follows alongside of Hay Creek, the park is nice sized and allows for visitors to enjoy the day without being crowded. Last, but not least, if you enjoy fishing, the creek is stocked and there’s a fishing rodeo for children and adults. The park is also animal friendly. My boys always loved to watch the horses being ridden and groomed before being loaded back onto their trailer to head home. Thanks for all of the...
Read moreRecently went to Birdsboro Rustic Park for a family reunion. There could be more, but there were 4 pavilions that i saw. The pavilion we occupied was in good condition. 2 charcoal grills and what looked like a fireplace (not sure if that worked, but i believe they used the grills without issues). River runs along the picnic areas. Ample parking. Nice play area for the kids. The is a restroom available. We had a handicapped individual with us (in a wheelchair). Fortunately, she did but have to use them, but we did check in advance regarding accessibility if necessary. I should have looked, but did not (apologies). My understanding from township personnel is that the restroom is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, however there are no handicap bars to hold onto. We were able to drive to the pavilion being utilized to drop off attendees. My understanding also was that there was little to no cleanup necessary prior to setting up vs another picnic area we utilized in the past which was a disgusting mess needing clean up by occupants. Overall, Birdsboro Rustic Park was very...
Read moreDate of first visit was Wednesday October 25,2023. This long, narrow park sits between a creek and a railroad track. No room for a soccer field, tennis courts, or baseball at Rustic Park. There are plenty of facilities for children to play on. Check out the wooden train. There is plenty of room to walk your dog. I also saw grills and picnic pavilions which are perfect for family gatherings. No swimming pool here. I'm sure...
