BeBe’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Birdsboro

Used to come here a lot when it was Uncle Jacks. Moved back into the area and figured we would try it. Came at a good time, was pretty slow. I ordered pierogis, the big club sandwich with Bacon and no tomatoes, my son ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast and bacon. When the waitress asked me if chips were ok I said yes and asked for a pickle on the side too. Club sandwich and eggs came before the pierogis. Only club sandwich I ever saw cut in half and not in 4ths. Sandwich had pickles and tomatoes on it and the pickles completely soaked the toast (again wanted a pickle on the side) Tomatoes I laid on the plate along with the pickles. Pierogis came after we started the main part of our meals. My son HATED the hash browns.....tasted like uncooked French fries he said....I tried one and wasn't impressed either. Waitress came by to check on us, never questioned why all the pickles or tomatoes were on my plate instead of the sandwich and without asking if we wanted anything else, put down our check. I asked for a box and she brought a small one....when I asked for a bigger one (half sandwich was still big) was told to pull out the wooden toothpick and turn it on its side....funny as I didn't ask to be told how to use a box. Also of note: My sandwich was on the menu for 8.75 On the bill it was 9.00 something.....I think she charged me for the pickle I wanted on the side. So, with tip for 2 people for an early lunch.....30.00 Gave it a try, completely disappointed. Won't be back. It's true what they say, you can't...

I've had lunch here on Wednesday afternoons 4 times and I always get the same thing: a cheese steak hoagie with lettuce, tomato, and onion on the freshest roll! It comes with a bag of chips for $9.25. Water is not free but it is bottled. There is a slight wait as there is only one person cooking but is definitely worth the wait. I've been ordering various types of cheese steaks from all of the local places and this was the best! Italian Delight couldn't even make the correct protein when I requested a chicken cheese steak so if you're wondering why I don't try anything else, it's because I haven't gotten my fill of them, lol. Uncle Jack's food is amazing. The eggs are done right, the hashbrowns have the perfect seasoning and the scrapple is perfectly crispy. I'm not usually a huge fan of pancakes, but the white chocolate cranberry pancakes are probably one of the best foods I have ever had. The restaurant is clean and family run. Jack always comes out to talk to my boyfriend and I about the food and make sure everything came out as it should have. The entire staff is super friendly. This is probably one of the best places I've been too! I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves breakfast or lunch. The prices are amazing too. For how good the food is, it isnt...
