The DNR and the host have been courteous, but the people camping near us have drunk too much and seem to think it’s acceptable to fight, slam camper doors, and act immaturely throughout the day—worse at night. We have three kids trying to sleep, and to make matters worse, this morning we found out our kids walked out of the camper to go fishing with their dad and ended up seeing these so-called 'adults' having a ridiculous 'play war,' including some inappropriate behavior and a woman only in a thong. This isn’t right for a family-friendly campground! We traveled all the way from Tennessee and paid $75 for three nights, only to deal with this situation. I’m really disappointed. CC and Iowa, the least you could do is step outside and hear the noise, especially since it’s well past 10:30 PM. It would be great to see some respect for the other families trying to enjoy their...

I absolutely love this part! It has everything you need for a wonderful camping trip or day trip. It has nicely groomed and extensive hiking trails, boat rental for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats, a shuttle up for two or four hour long canoe trips, a wonderful biking trail that goes into nearby Central City, four camping areas with everything from primitive group camps to RV camping to a variety of nicely appointed and modernized cabins at affordable prices. The campground playground is one of the best playgrounds we have ever been at with really neat and unique play features that my kids absolutely love. It also has an observation tower which I believe is the highest point in Linn County. All in all it's a great place to camp; it'll keep your kids and you entertained for days at a time and it is one of my...

Pinicon Ridge is a Beautiful and relaxing place to go! Between fishing, camping, the playgrounds, the paddle boats, and the pavilion areas they have to be able to cook out or utilize for parties. As well as the many family photos I have taken there. With all the different choices on what to do. Taking my kids is always enjoyable! It's great to even go by myself to just go on walks around the park. There are so many other things I could mention about Pinicon Ridge. Go there and take a look for yourself! It's even Beautiful in the winter!! Especially with all the Beautiful deer you get to see. I've chosen Pinicon Ridge for more than a decade now and it'll always be my 1st...

This is the overlook tower at Pinicon Ridge County Park, Linn County Iowa. 77 steps or so up, and some beautiful views of rolling hills and forest of eastern Iowa! This park has hiking trails, fishing, camping, boat rentals like canoe and paddleboat, islands to explore, picnic areas and so much more! #traveliowa #iowa #hiddengems #fyp #naturelover

Yep I said Iowa, this is Pinicon Ridge County Park in Linn County Iowa, in Central City. Did you know Iowa is one of the least populated and visited states? We have no national parks, no mountains, no coastline and no city over 250k… some call that boring. I say it’s peaceful! #traveliowa #hiddengems #fyp #naturelover #midwesttravelgirl
