I tell you what honestly I didn't expect much from this place, I live in Carnegie and this place was literally 2 miles from my house yet I had never heard of it. I was actually looking for a wine and spirits on google maps when this popped up so close to my house. My wife and I decided to give it a try, when we first approached the building it looked like an insurance office type building bricks and a parking lot. It was only when we entered that I started to get the impression that this was going to be a special place. The inside is very nice their are seating areas for testing and a small store. Their is also a small library that has materials on wines. The owner and his wife were extremely friendly and very attentive. They not only provided samples in a very nice tray but they also provided cheese, crackers, water, and grapes. I didn't feel rushed at all and the owner even took us on a tour of the winery in the basement to show us how everything is done.
Now the wine, it was very good some of the best I have had from a PA based wine. We have been to all the major ones in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas so I had become accustom to a certain "Taste" of wines from this area. This winery didn't disappoint and I would say it even beat some of my favorites from Foxburg Winery and La Casa Narcisi Winery.
They have a good range of dry and sweet as well as white and reds, you won't find any fruit wines here
Its worth the trip to...

They were very personable, educational, and very sweet. I can't explain it. You must stop in and experience it yourself. I promise you, you will be back! We are looking forward to our return and we haven't even left the winery yet!...

Dr. and Mrs. Slavic were incredibly nice and took time to tell us all about the area, some history of winemaking in PA and described the process making each of their wines. We ended up leaving with six bottles and will be back on our next visit...
