Saw Prince of Egypt last night. The ONLY good things I can say about it is that the singing and choreography were decent. Every other aspect of it was awful. First and foremost, it made an absolute mockery of the biblical story - not sure why I'm surprised. But in addition, the acting was terrible!! I get it's a small budget, but the Moses, Rameses & Pharaoh costumes were horrendous. Pharaoh looked like the king of Russia in his getup. There were waaaaay too many extra songs from the movie and they just didn't fit. Our group were not the only ones not clapping after a couple songs. It was a waste of money and a waste of an evening. There were 12 actors in the play.
It lasted 2 Hours with a 15 minute intermission.

Read moreCame here with my husband on Friday night to see Sweeney Todd. I've never been able to see the play until now and had only seen Tim Burton's film adaption of the play. It was so exciting to see how it played out on the stage and what was done differently vs the big screen. The actors and ensemble cast were all fantastic. I was convinced this man was Sweeney Todd- or Johnny Depp! I'm excited to come see other plays here...
