While our mosque provides a welcoming and spiritual environment, the effectiveness of Imam Zulfiqa Shah's khutbah(s) lack the depth and essence of Islamic teachings. His delivery often lacks clarity, engagement, and proper articulation, making it difficult for the congregation to follow and absorb the message. A strong leader should be able to inspire and educate, and unfortunately, the lack of effective communication diminishes the impact of the khutbah.
Equally concerning is the establishment that appointed him, as they bear responsibility for ensuring that the imam is capable of effectively guiding the community. Leadership in a religious space should prioritize both knowledge and the ability to convey it meaningfully. The board's decision to install someone without the means to educate, inspire, and reinforce core Islamic values, reflects a failure in their duty to serve the congregation’s best interests. Addressing this issue requires both personal improvement from the imam and accountability from those who put him in...
Read moreThe mosque is amazing ,the Imam is good but as we built a mosque,we need to built a good Muslim with ethics ,specially in ladies area.Unfortunately ,there are some of them come just to chat with their friends in the Friday sermon. As we knew all of us , it is not required for ladies to attend the Friday sermon . Mosque is not a park or coffee shop ,most of these ladies don't watch their kids while they are making noise. It is shameful that people come to listen to sermon and return angry and sad to see this kind of ignorance spreading so fast. In such situations, gentle reminders about the purpose of the mosque and the importance of respecting the serenity of the space can be helpful. Perhaps organizing educational sessions or discussions specifically addressing mosque etiquette and the significance of Friday sermons could raise awareness and encourage better behavior. Additionally, fostering a sense of community responsibility where everyone plays a role in maintaining the sanctity of the mosque can help address these issues...
Read moreIt’s sad that a place of worship is being managed by some of the most elite scammers I’ve ever seen. The lady who handles all the events that are happening here has a history of misleading people and telling different people different rules and chucking it up to miscommunications. She reels you in without telling you that she will be charging you all these unknown fees on the day of your event when you can’t do anything. Also, we have had imams performing nikkah before and over here don’t expect the imam to remember to ask the bride and groom to verbally accept the nikkah. Apparently they forget how to perform nikkah. Please please please I beg you all to save yourselves from unnecessary headache and just go to ICOA. They are amazing and for Sunni people, you can always request your own imam to come, we...
