It's definitely a park: there are baseball diamonds, a pee-wee football field that doubles as a space people try out their model airplanes and drones, a modern playset, a sheltered picnic area and a parking lot that gives access to fishermen (the Fox River is adjacent) as well as bicycle and hiking enthusiasts (the adjacent woods trail).
And there is the (Jacobson) Dog Park. It's nice to have. That's all you can really say--it is divided up for small and big dogs, has double-gated entry and waste bag posts. Aside from the odd picnic bench and occasional new tree planting, that's it.
It's a bittersweet feature that you can see if there are any dogs there when you are driving in to gauge whether it is worth your time or whether you should drive on to Burlington. Popular times to let your dog socialize are a crapshoot--you may think you know when to go but next week that time changes. Perhaps because it is so much in the open (on hot days it can be baking) and because occasionally people that don't have properly socialized dogs come in and inevitably there is trouble--it can be a lonely experience.
What else? Well, Eagle Case Park is a place to see the best and worst in people. You can see the not-often-found in that area foreign family having a picnic or fishing. You can see people using the one open dumpster taking advantage of the desolation to get rid of their old TV or week's worth of garbage when they miss pickup. You can watch Sheriff's patrols slowly make their rounds, perhaps scouting the other bizarre vehicles that will slowly navigate the closed drive circuit skulking for who knows what.
This makes it sound terrible, but it's not. It's like anything else in the world, filled with...
Read moreWe ride bikes there most of the cool to cool seasons. Its a beautiful park on the Fox River. The bike trail is paved and winds through the woods as well. This includes some challenging terrain because of the Kettle Moraine landscape. The trail is very peaceful especially as you go through the woods and over the Fox River on the 10 ft wide span Bridge. We've never seen litter there. Its always well-groomed. It just has an overall good feeling. You you can sit by the river and read or walk, run, or bike on the trail. There are baseball diamonds hand hey fenced-in dog run and a pavilion with restrooms and...
Read moreGreat park with fields, basketball court, playground, and a dog park next to it. Park has flushing toilets and picnic tables. Case Eagle has the bike trail going right through it, so it is easy for people to bike there and hang out. Only negative thing really for me is the mild vandalism on the playground...
