I trail run here regularly, and it’s never repetitive or boring with the seasons changing. It’s one of the most beautiful places to visit in the autumn or winter because of the fall foliage and snow cover.
For trail running, it’s the perfect mix of flats and hills, depending on if you stick to the outside perimeter trails or venture inward. There’s a main 5k Strava loop I created that begins at the parking lot on the south side near the bathrooms (that are closed when it’s cold by the way). There’s a clockwise and counter-clockwise loop that is nearly 1.5 miles on each side of the park (crossing over the pedestrian bridge as a connector). The playground is well-kept, and there’s plenty of open space for kids to run around or for adults to just chill and breathe.
Ideal for small events or peaceful getaways. It’s got that calm, natural energy that makes you feel grounded but free at the same time. Trees surround you, the air is clean, and the layout is perfect for both daytime hangs and quiet reflection. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the area.
✨ Highly recommend for families, solo walks, prayer breaks, or planning a peaceful...
