I've been waiting for years to go to this place. Finally my sister and I took a ride down an hour and a half. It is a beautiful place. But... Unbelievably expensive. Obviously not geared towards locals. A lot of the stuff there I can get cheaper at walmart or the dollar store for the exact same thing. I did buy some stuff because I could see they employ a lot of people, especially older people. I went upstairs to the clearance room and found three clearance items which I purchased. When I got in my car.I noticed that I was charged the full price for 1 of them. I went back and customer service Very nice and helpful but I had to go through a whole rigamarole to get my $10 back. Then when I got home, I took the clearance tag off of my other two clearance items; Lo and behold, the clearance price was same as the regular price! Somewhat disappointing. It was a fun store to walk through. It brought back a lot of memories of things from my childhood. I did buy a few specialty items for my family, which I wouldn't find anywhere else. And my sister and I bought matching mood rings for $4.95 each LOL! So I would say yeah go there, It's a good one time experience, but if you don't want to spend a lot of money, don't expect to buy much.

It's a store from yesteryear, filled with everything you didn’t know you wanted. Grab a bottle of lemon-lime soda, some "Gee; Your Hair Smells Terrific" shampoo, or maybe a vintage toy and some bulk old-fashioned candy. If you're looking for clothing, they have nice sweaters and soft hats for both men and women. You can also find jelly and old-fashioned crackers that your grandpa used to eat when you were a kid, along with local cheeses and cured meats. They serve lunch here, too, with freshly made sandwiches and coffee. There’s always something charming on display for the current season, so if it’s Christmas, you can find some wonderfully unique decorations. Remember to pick up something special for your sweetheart on Valentine's Day! Afternyku can cross the sweetheart bridge and steal a kiss or take a selfie—a great day in the Rockingham area.

The store has a lot of different items to offer. You can easily spend an hour in there and come out with something in your bag. I have tried one of the four truffles I bought and it is super tasty. They had some candy that was nostalgic and several other items that I have not seen since the 80's 😆 They have a little market that has a nice selection of cheese/crackers. A variety of jerky... Alligator, Boar, Elk and a few others in which I have no interest in trying any, but I know other people do. Some things are a bit high-priced, but overall I feel it's fair. I definitely think it's worth the stop if you are in the area or going to be passing by. Helpful and polite service.
