One of the best hiking experiences. VERY doable, go at your own pace. Some areas are sunny but there’s some shade in the middle to stop and rest for a minute. Split rock, picnic areas and extremely diverse landscape and flora. We saw older folks and little kids doing the trail. It might be on a longer side (about 6 miles for about 3 hours), but totally worth it. The entire path is well maintained and easy to find and track through. It is the best place in my opinion to catch the sunset, with views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding cities. Watching the light of the sun, as it touches the sandstone rock landscape making it appear as if it was on fire. On your way to the top (Sandstone Peak) you can see variety of flowers mother nature can offer. At some point you can see Lake Sherwood and Westlake Village.
