As an avid haunted house attendee, I was so excited to attend these haunted houses, however unfortunately this place was a HUGE let down compared to all the others I’ve been to in Northern California and Sacramento area.
So here’s why:
Arrived at 7:15pm, which is 15 min after opening, so there wasn’t very many people there just yet. In the picture I posted, that’s how long the line was, not bad right? WRONG! We waited in line for 2 hours and 10 minutes by the time we got to the front for ONE haunted house. It was outrageous. There’s no reason as to why a line with only about 30 groups in front of me should take 2 hours. I understand having a “Check point” before letting the next group in, but I think that is a poorly designed check point because it doesn’t get groups through and keep the line moving at a reasonable pace.
The one haunted house we went in, the Cemetarium one, had a total of 9 actors. I counted while going through. It was poorly designed and had hardly any scares. Super disappointing!
The ground in the haunted houses was very uneven and was hard to walk on, especially while it was raining. Maybe if they had lights along the ground so they don’t have people breaking an ankle would be beneficial.
Advertising for the “vip” front of the line tickets was non existent. I had to ask a few people who had “vip” and they said it’s a small upcharge. If I would’ve known about it I would’ve done that to avoid standing in a 2 hour SMALL line for one haunted house.
Unfortunately, I was unable to walk through the other 2 houses because I wasn’t up for standing in line another 4 hours. My back couldn’t handle it! I feel like I was ripped off paying over $30-$35 (after fees) for one haunted house with hardly any scares.
Hopefully this review helps others who are thinking about attending Cemetarium. I wish I would’ve read a recent review before attending because it would’ve...
Read moreThe worst “haunted” house we’ve ever been to. If you have young children I guess it could be ok, but I doubt you’ll want to wait through a 2 hour line with children. Most of the people there are drunk (making alcohol runs because of the long lines), the security guards notice the public intoxication and do nothing. The screams you hear while waiting in line keeps you positive.... until you enter the maze and realize it’s just the people with painted faces standing there awkwardly jumping out at you (once you’ve clearly noticed them already) screaming in your face as a last ditch effort attempting to scare you. The only thing good that came out of this night was the tears of laughter myself and my partner had when we remembered the upset looks on the faces of a party of 4 that paid $120 for VIP tickets to this embarrassment. If your looking for a fun/scary haunted house, go to the heartstoppers in rancho cordova, a much...
Read moreNot bad, they have 3 haunted houses, psycho circus, zombie heights, and cemetarium. It was cool how they timed it so the groups went in when there weren't other groups in them. Only downside is, it's outside, so can kind of see the parking lot lights shine from above, which takes away from the darkness/what's to come factor a little. The actors were great though, I went to heartstoppers and I would say the actors at cemetarium are better, better at the scare factor. If you go, I would recommend, go to psycho circus first, then choose either zombie heights or cemetarium, next and the other last. Psycho circus was the weakest out of the 3 for me, so I would do that one first. Overall, had fun, just wish it was covered and more darker inside, would have been perfect. The actors though were A+++, try it and see...
