We have a membership here and it's absolutely worth the drive we make to visit from Kalamazoo. Many beautiful sights and sounds, and well-kept trails around the lake make for a peaceful retreat every time. I love that they are open year-round...the sanctuary is fantastic in every season. At times they have corn available for purchase to feed the birds, but I am very appreciative that they will not hesitate to suspend selling it if there are health concerns for our avian friends. There are also items for sale--from shirts to feeders to books and stuffed animals; definitely something for everyone. This is one of our...

I enjoyed the sanctuary immensely, it is quite a spectacular place. I have a safety issue suggestion. At one corner of the lower building overlooking the lake there is concrete bench placed where when one is coming around the corner, the bench protrudes and as it is the same color as the pavement, it is not apparent and is a tripping hazard. I was surprised by its presence and fell over it and onto the concrete pavement, hurting my hip. It would be good to move it away from the corner to prevent...

8/28/22 was free entry for a special occasion. It's normally only $5 for adult entry!! Less than that dollar-by-dollar per age group and such. It's a LOVELY sanctuary for birds and BEAUTIFUL nature!!! Not only seeing different birds, but there's a handful of choices for hiking trails as well!!! It's an AMAZING reconnect place for God's creation of NATURE!!! šŸ˜ 🄰...
