Pretty lame now-a-days. The "sanctuary" looks pretty rough to what it used too be. You can only feed corn "cups" certain TIMES of certain days. (no longer able to purchase corn buckets) there's no way of telling if you'll be able to feed them at all until you get there. Admission is $6/adult $4/2 and up. The gift shop is ridiculously priced, $20 for a sticker pack. I get your trying to raise money but really.... We visited Sunday around 10am, nobody was at the front desk we waited 20 minutes because they left a tiny note stating they were feeding the birds and would be back. Well we spent an hour their and after we left people were waiting in the check in area for a staff member. I wonder if they were the crew of staff members on the golf cart heading to the pond with their fishing poles. This place is a joke now. Must be spending all the funding they get on the giant buildings nobody can see just beyond the treeline. That must be where the staff is all day long too.

Read moreThe Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is a very nice place to visit. The admission price is good and I like that you can buy a small container of food for the birds to feed them while inside the bird sanctuary. The grounds are very clean. The atmosphere here is nice. My favorite bird to see during my visit was the black swan. I also love the fact that they take care of many injured birds that include a bald eagle. While I was here my family fed the birds and walked on the trails. The Lake Loop trail is a very easy, flat trail that circles the lake in the Bird Sanctuary. It is wide enough to fit a vehicle. I also hiked some of the Bluebird trail as it is part of it the North Country National Scenic Trail. The beginning of the Bluebird trail at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is a few stairs. Once you are up the stairs you will find a board with a map of the Bluebird trail and a small map of the North Country Trail. The Bluebird trail is nice and it is narrower than the...
Read moreWhat a fun way to spend time outside! You can buy buckets of feed (only $1!) and have a ball feeding the birds. There are great walking trails that also take you past some other birds that live permanently at the sanctuary. Beautiful views and a very friendly, knowledgable staff. - updated to say that when window staff isn't available they have an honesty box where you can pay admission (members get free admission), and they usually have self-service corn buckets you can purchase as well and it's only $1 per scoop for everyone.
Update 2025: corn is no longer available every day. You can check their social media for dates when corn is available for purchase. This is such a cool place, corn or no corn. Awesome little gift shop too..lots of goodies...
