Concrete walls and walkways, blocks for terraces, concrete slab under a tent, and hard benches I suppose are a little fun for kids to climb on, but overall doesn't fit the themes of the park. It used to be a green hill and wildflowers as far as the eye could see. Now the terraces and concrete turned the green park to gray, have ruined the old cross country route (they'll find a new one) and represent even more concrete and bricks in a park that used to be celebrated as a crown jewel of green with blue, red, and gold wildflowers. It has been sad to see the administration keep adding "improvements" of more fences, concrete, and pavement to a park that used to celebrate green space, open fields, earthen trails, and extensive wildflowers.
At least they didn't completely cover it with pavement and blacktop followed by fences like they did with the wildflower fields on the north end a few years ago, so a star for not completely destroying the value of the park as usable open space. Now it's concrete covered open...
