There are many great features about this park and lots to discuss for anyone who's never been. However, I've included some pictures which may require parents caution while using this location, and rated 4 out of 5 stars because of the safety for children under a certain age. Ultimately it's the parents' responsibility to watch their children while using this facility.
Biba is an awesome way to allow kids who learn by interacting with digital media or phone apps. Biba icons are strategically placed throughout the obstacles within both play areas (bigger kids & little tikes) and is like a little treasure hunt for the kids to do- pretty cool.
There are some obstacles here that REQUIRE ADULT Supervision. The first is the little tike playground located near the swing set. Along the stair case, is a rail which prevents children from falling off the stairs. However, as you can see from the image posted, children can accidentally step in the space between the rail and stairs (actually happened to my 2 y/o son). It's not big enough to allow the kids to completely fall through, but he yelped for dad when his leg got caught up to his groin.
The second is the big kid obstacle featuring 3 larger slides. This obstacle has a sign that specifically states children between certain ages are not permitted to use this. It's big enough for parents too (I'm 6'2" at 240lbs and I've got tons of space to maneuver around the obstacles without the need to duck down). The problem with this obstacle is that kids see bigger slides that they want to ride on but parents aren't always watching their kids. If your children play on these towers, you need to read the permitted use signage beforehand. I've been out here a dozen times and always see small kids playing up there parents sitting down on the small wall, playing on their phones. In addition to this obstacle, the flooring for all bridges is gapped-rope with hard plastic footholds. The space in-between gaps are large enough for my sons' size 4 shoe to fall into. Obviously I didn't read the warnings before allowing my child to play, but I did go up with him and supervise while up there.
The third caution is the Ring Climb to Slide 2. These huge plastic rings are secured with rope surrounding each ring. The caution is that not all children can climb up (or down) entirely, so it may require some adult assistance from the top or the bottom. Furthermore, at the top of the tower, there is an opening to allow kids climbing up, to enter the bridge areas or slide 2. In contrast, the same entrance area is large enough for small children to fall through. I haven't seen it happen but can only imagine the horror of watching a child hit every hard plastic ring as they fall from the top of this tower to the wood chips on the ground.
Some of the things about these obstacles I do really like are the plastic/rubberish coating so materials don't get hot to the touch when baking in the Texas heat. There's also 2 tike bucket swings and 4 regular swings for lots of kids to use. The public restrooms only have 1 stall, so the portable potties are added for accommodation- really appreciate it. Plenty of seating through the park in shaded areas too! Ducks flock to those who bring break. Lake is stocked with fish. There's a small trail that wraps around the park which I've seen runners on. Very family friendly park with working water fountains. Pavilion area has lots of tables for seating arrangements of larger parties. Charcoal grills located throughout. Along with the Volleyball courts, there's also Cricket/Soccer/Baseball fields within walking distance. Near cricket fields is another small tikes play area with it's own parking lot- convenient if main area is over-crowded (which happens). If I left out anything, please feel free to comment. I'm trying to create some thorough reviews of different parks we like to visit. We call this one, The...

Suggest parking, exploring within 1 mile radius and driving car to next parking lot if wanting to explore more of the vast park.
Routinely maintained in between the recurring updates and additions.
I saw a review suggesting vending machines with bottled water.. Note: Baseball fields have concessions for some league contests and water fountains are provided adjacent to all restrooms throughout park.
I suggest suggestions, but not the one referenced. It's 2021, disposable, plastic water bottles are environmentally unfriendly. Bottled water is usually water provided by a municipal source anyway and is merely bottled by conglomerates. Conglomerates which continue to profit at the expense of those who opt out of reusable bottles or tumblers.

Read moreA really night park to visit almost anytime of the year. Right near where the Round Rock Express plays. Plenty of play area for the kids and the grownups. Nice lake to get some light fishing in, just a heads up there are turtles in the lake so they can be bothersome sometimes when fishing. Plenty of parking, large restroom area, and a very large play are for the children. During the spring, the summer there are movies in the park especially on the 4th of July after the fireworks. You might ge lucky and The Express are also playing on the 4th and you get a double fireworks show for free. That what's happened to us a year ago it was awesome. While everyone was waiting in the traffic to leave the park we were sitting there watching a second fireworks show. It was so cool. Once again great park, many pits to Barbecue and a good amount of tables and park benches. You should check it out and experience it...
