This is one of the nicest state parks I've been to in Texas. I only went for a day hike but I got to see a lot of the amenities and there are plenty of bathrooms and showers.
The lake is unbelievably beautiful and very clean.
The hiking trails are really pretty and full of wildlife. There are lots of types(?) of hike. There are lakeside trails, deep forest trails, open meadows, etc.
It is dog friendly as long as they are on a leash.
There's also horse trails and mountain biking trails.
For 4 bucks a person, you can't beat it....

The Saturday park staff up front was great and friendly as well as the staff member who gave a talk on the...
