I ADORE paddle point! It's in the perfect position for you to launch and explore either side of the lake! If you are looking for stiller waters and a beautiful view, I recommend going under the old rusty Bridge! If you're looking for rougher water and a bigger open space go under the Miller bridge!
The one this I hate about paddle point... is the people.
I know that sounds terrible but these massive families come set up chairs and tents right off where you're supposed to load your boats and they let their small children play in the water on the boat launch. It is extremely frustrating and dangerous for their children. People like to set out chairs and smoke on the shore too which is inconvenient for absolutely everyone else around them.
I wish there were WAY more parking spaces, but it's first come first served, so I can't complain about...

I've only been 21 other place similar to this and that was in nashville tennessee. Lots of character. The menu was simple yet descriptive. Decent prices definitely not too high. The food was absolutely amazing. The only one the thing I found odd was that drinks.Came from a can versus a fountain pop machine. I cannot suggest this restaurant enough. Absolute ten out of ten. The only other thing I could critique is the limited amount of parking and it's difficult to park a truck in their parking lot. Things to keep in mind... Sometimes jet-skiers encroach on this area and create waves, and it's supposed to be paddlesports only. Check the wind online before going and plan according to your skill level, anything above 10mph could be bad if you're a beginner. Bring a lifejacket for yourself (and your dog, if you're bringing one). I see most people without them and it's just dumb, it doesn't matter what the weather's like.
