Bayview Beach — Attraction in Saco

I wish I had more time to explore this beautiful beach 🏖️!! I had a frustrating day and I just sat and enjoyed my new 🆕 book 📖 while looking at the view and listening to the waves. This expansive beach with views of the islands, coast and a lighthouse helped me unwind. The beach was clean and encouraged people with disabilities to visit. There was a sign saying that a wheelchair ♿ would be provided if you are need of one. A family with a disabled member was visiting and having a good 👍 time! Dogs 🐕 are allowed but must be leashed and cleaned up afterwards. There were people letting their dogs play in the surf but no one was bothered by it. 🎵 And 🐶 Dogs, they want to have fu-un! 🎵 The posted hours are 8 AM-8 PM at the parking 🅿️ lot. The bathroom closes at 5PM but there is a water sprayer for feet 🐾 that is available past that time. Trash 🗑️ cans are available and small pales are available for use at the entrance. The parking lot is not very big and it is a dollar 💵 an hour. I think 🤔 it's $10 for the day. Update: February 2024; Even on a chilly day, people are out, especially with thier dogs, enjoying the coast. The recent high 🌊 tides have shown their strength with trees 🌴, bricks , concrete and stones slabs, pieces of asphalt and even an iPhone strewn along the beach. This is an awesome year round dog friendly, family beach! Dogs do have to be on leash between April and September but we waded out into the water a ways, and he was able to swim around and fetch his ball with his leash on. Or just bring a long line for your dog and you’ll be good! There is plenty of beach for you to walk and you can see the OOB Pier in the distance! There are public bathrooms as well and life guards on duty. The little village this is located in, Ocean Park, looks super cute and might be worth walking around in!

The parking for this beach area isn’t great. It is very limited, only two small parking lots across the street, so I strongly suggested getting there early and you do have to pay for parking but it’s...

My family and I visited this beach this afternoon for the first time. Even though the weather was overcast and very windy, we braved the water and were pleasantly surprised at how warm it was. The beach was not busy at all (weather probably had a lot to do with that) , the surf was perfect. Top it all off we learned we could have brought our fur baby with us. BONUS!! ❤️ needless to say, we can't wait to visit again next time...
