2023 Update - I wanted to update this review a year later. Operations have vastly improved from snow making to lift operations. I've been there a couple of time this year and, to my surprise, all the lifts were working and most of the terrain was open. Lines are short in the morning and I've avoided peak times so I can't comment there. Every lift has been working and the snow has been decent. I don't think the two black diamonds in the middle have been open and they don't seem to be aiming for opening in 2023 at all, so if you're an experts, probably go to the Boston Mills area 5 minutes away that has 3 "black diamond" run open with moguls, etc. The staff have all been friendly and they're working hard to keep things safe and moving.
2022 - As a local business I want to give this place 5 stars. I want it to be a place where I can take my kids skiing regularly. But the last time I went, half the lifts weren't working, including those that lead only "green" area that's not a bunny hill. I'm an adult male, there should be a place to practice that doesn't involve my dodging trains of yellow-vested toddlers learning to ski. Lift lines were reasonable in the morning, but as noon came around it started to get really bad. On my second time back, we'd wait 15-20 minutes to get to the top of a 300 foot mountain. The fact that the rental boot return process is just "put them back for the next person" seems unsanitary, but maybe this is a common practice. There is a vaccine requirement to go upstairs to the cafeteria, but it's manned by teenagers making not enough money to have confrontations about it, so the whole thing is just mostly fake. This place is so close to being a great local ski outlet, but upper management (Looking at you Vail) is clearly not interested in a...

Read moreI was taking my 17 year old grandson there for the very first time for his birthday. He has never snow boarded before I also took my eight-year-old granddaughter, who has never skied or snowboarded. I was not going to snowboard or ski or anything else. It was just for the kids. So I rented their equipment that they needed one for snowboarding and one for skiing. I explained several times to everyone I talk to that she my little granddaughter has never skied before. I had a lift ticket for my grandson. They told me in order to take my granddaughter at the top of the hill that I would need a lift ticket and she would also need a lift ticket. So I thought this was something that you had to do. so in order to go up the lift they told me I had to rent a snowboard or skis. I said I’m not skiing or snowboarding she said will you have to rent something. So I had to pay an extra $150 for me and my granddaughter to go up on the lift plus I had to run a snowboard. To find out that she can’t go down these huge hills so we had to stay on a very flat place at the top of the hill. Then we had to walk all the way down the hills because I cannot snowboard but I had to have it they said to get up on the hill and she doesn’t ski, so yes, she cannot ski down this huge hill because she doesn’t know how to ski. After all these people I talk to no one told me that there was a flat place down at the bottom of this hill, where she could’ve just practiced in this little spot, no one. No one offered that after I explained several times and they could see how little she was. It was ridiculous....
