Pros: Beach is so beautiful and is my new favorite beach in the area. This place is extra special because of the shallow tide pools that are perfect for small children to play in and the hard packed sand that has minimal shells making it easier to walk in barefoot. This is much different than the beaches directly North(Anastasia State Park, St Auggie Pier, Micklers Landing) and is a plus for small children and dogs. There is also a great food shack/restaurant very close that serves delicious food and the ladies there were so courteous. Cons: (1) The bathrooms, like all St Johns County beach bathrooms, need an upgrade. Though definitely not the worst beach bathroom I’ve seen in the area! But this would not deter me from visiting again. (2) Parking, not the worst of all the beaches in the area but can be limited so get there early. There may be a shuttle or park and ride option, you would have to check the county...

Nice, clean beach. When the tide is going out, it has a nice sandbar. Driving allowed on the beach for a fee. Good sized parking lot and it's free to park. Two large pavillions with picnic tables. Bathrooms are typical of a beach, but they're actual bathrooms, not port-a-potties! Shower stations available to rinse off. Places within walking distance to go eat. Gave a 4 star rating only because it's on the Atlantic coast, which means it's usually windy and rip currents are strong. So, not technically about the "park". If you're there already, drive the 15 minutes south on A1A and visit The Rocks @ Washington Oaks State Park. Beautiful, unique rock formations. There's a fee, but its only $5 or $6 and it will also give you access to the gardens on the opposite...

I love coming here! The white sand beaches are so pretty! My extended family loves to meet here for the 4th of July. We park on the beach and the kids play in the ocean and sand with all the toys and boogie boards. We bring a giant tent for shelter from the sun and whatnot. We bring subs from publix and coolers with plenty of water and drinks and chill all day. At 7:00pm there's no cars allowed on the beach so we pack up everything we don't want to carry and wait for the fireworks. We can see the show from Flagler beach and the St. Augustine fireworks and I think the Hammock Resort show too. I love it! It's a really cool spot to share with my family. We all have fun and always make...

Nice beach. It does have vehicle access, BUT 4x4 / AWD ONLY.... seriously! The sand where the cars drive is extremely soft. The area for vehicles to drive is very limited (hence the 4stars), but it’s typically not a super busy beach. Trash cans are spaced along the beach. Cops patrol the vehicle driving zone on a regular basis. Parking rules are; not past the orange cones towards the water and no higher then the Conservation zone sign on wooden poles towards the dunes. Food and drinks are allowed, Alcohol is restricted. Absolutely no glass on the beach. There are plenty and shops, restaurants and takeout places along the A1 road that runs parallel to the beach. (Pizza was great!)

Beautiful white sand beach, with the finest, softest sand I've experienced. Just a short walk to the parking lot that seems to always have spots available - and FREE parking at that! Park also features a covered picnic table area, outdoor showers, and restrooms. The restrooms aren't pristine in any way, but are normally pretty clean as far as beach restrooms go. There is a seafood restaurant right next door, with a takeout window and outdoor seating, and a gas station Miini Mart right across the street. All in all, no complaints about this place.

Beach park with free parking right off of A1A. Parking is free. There are two picnic pavilions, outdoor showers & a bath house. Women’s side had two stalls. One was handicapped & had its own sink. Seemed spacious. There is a ramp over the dunes to the beach. I would not try to navigate this with. A wheelchair, due to the sand. However, there is vehicle access at this ramp as well. You will need a four-wheel-drive vehicle for this. We took our Chevy 2500 out & had no problems. This beach access point is ideal in many ways. Don’t miss out!
