The guide who was working that day, John, was great to have along. He was very informative and helpful. If we saw something and had a question, he was right there with the answer.
The collections are great and show a lot of history in St. Charles County. There is the room on the ground floor with the amateur baseball league teams, women's baseball, horseshoes, bowling, etc. represented. Upstairs, the high school sports are represented. Unfortunately, we couldn't go see that because there is no handicap access to the second floor.
The wildlife 'room' was more of a room around a room, but the walls and ceiling were covered with representations and information about the animals, fishing facts, and history. The room inside the room is the simulation room.
The simulation room was incredible and a must see for any young hunters that will be heading out into the woods for hunting season. It was a blast! We were told it is the largest simulator of its kind in the world and numbers with only a handful of simulators like it around the world.
Good job St. Charles County Parks and Recreation! Well done center for learning...

The screen with the wild bore was like as big as a small movie theater screen. There was a touch screen were you can learn about a variety of Missouri fish. If you click a fish you get a bunch of information about it. I guess the Katy Trail will soon be linked to the park where this...
Read moreThis museum was fun even for doubting kids. We came to see the Christmas trains but the teens really liked the museum with its many soldier uniforms and guns on display. The little scavenger hunt offered by the museum really got their interest going. And the attendant on site was helpful in answering questions. We picked up a strategy game for the big kids and they were excited about playing the board game, even though it was "history." A win for a cool outing on a Sunday aftermoon. Oh, and the museum doesn't charge an entrance...
