I hope this reaches someone's ears and the problem gets addressed. I come about 3 Sundays a month depending on my work schedule. I don't like being around the big crowd so I sit in the Cafe. My problem is all these volunteers with badges on and the youth volunteers that are clearly high school age. Well they all talk loudly during the sermon. Going to church weekly just to say you go to church yet you talk the entire time and don't pay attention. That doesn't make you a good Christian you are gaslighting and probably telling people you are better then them because you go to church. How about you do better and talk before or after the sermon so everyone can enjoy it. This has been an ongoing problem I experience here and frankly I might start looking for a church with more respectful volunteers that are here for Jesus and not talking over the preacher.
Here's to hoping this problem gets addressed soon. If not, you lost a patron. And I'm not worried about it just like the talkative volunteers aren't worried about it.
When I tried voicing this on the live chat Amanda and Derek who "host" the online sermon deleted my comments like it was Twitter. If this is the kind of church that practices those liberal policies I'm guessing you are also a pro abortion church if you silence a peaceful voice just saying I'd like the volunteers addressed who talk loudly. This is my generation millennial and the younger Gen z don't go to church. We don't tolerate the disrespect of people talking over a speech they worked hard on.
Hoping whoever moderates these reviews doesn't just say what the public viewing this wants to hear to save face for the church. I hope they actually make an effort to address this at the volunteer meetings I know go on. Because I used to volunteer years back. I'll see if and when this problem gets addressed in the next month or two. If it doesn't, my review stands. It's an easy problem to fix that doesn't affect anyone. Not like all these music being to loud reviews I see. At least they only play music when the sermon...
Read moreIf I could give more stars, I would! Jesus is the foundation of this church and it shows. This church has a heart for all of God's children from across the world, to those in its backyard. It has helped me step outside the faith by going to other countries and experiencing God in a new and different way, but has also opened my eyes to opportunities within miles of the church. This church has been a lifeline for me and so others I know. It helps others find Jesus and then encourages and provides ways to follow Him. Although the music, sermons, and people that attend aren't the main focus (and should not be), I find all of it incredible. It's full of broken people who want to follow Jesus as a unified community and I have been blessed enough to experience it. The pastors invite anyone new at the end of every week to come meet/talk with them to introduce themselves, which I think is very personable. Harvester Christian Church has been my church home for 21 years and this church has challenged and encouraged me in the faith beyond what I could ever imagine. I highly recommend...
Read moreHarvester Christin Church is a great place to be. I grew up in a Catholic church, but then drifted away. Back in February 2021, my wife and I wanted to start going back to church. Since we both come from different church backgrounds, we decided to try a non-denominal Christian Church. We started watching online to get a feel for HCC, and instantly felt a connection watching while Pastor Nikomas was preaching and teaching us about God. We decided to go in person and loved the experience with loving and learning about God with everyone. One thing I love about this church is that I feel like I am understanding more about the word of God then I did at my pervious church. Especially when they compare their teachings to real life.
HCC also has a lot of serving opportunities for you to volunteer for. I volunteer driving the golf cars in the parking lot and take our church family to the front doors. I has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of nice people and to help me break out of my shell of being shy. I highly recommend HCC if you are looking for a great family...
