My daughter just had a ring ceremony, dinner and reception at the Ledges, all in one day. I just want to say how wonderful our experience was from start to finish. We worked with Kimber and she was fantastic. She is so easy and helpful to work with!! The Ledges has everything that you will need from all of the tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, and a superb chef!! All of the catering is done in house which is very convenient. We had a buffet that was so delicious and served 130 people for dinner. (They have many options to choose from and will even customize your menu). Then they served ice cream sandwiches and crackers and cheese and a soda bar for the reception. Everything went perfect! Their waiters and waitresses kept everything clean and restocked. The Ledges is the most beautiful venue in town!! We had the ring ceremony under the covered patio. They even had the option of enclosing it (it was cold outside) and we utilized it as a dance floor during the reception in the evening. There was plenty of room for everyone since there were also tables and chairs outside as well. They have several patio heaters we used. I can't rave enough about what a wonderful experience we had having my daughter's wedding at the Ledges!! You won't be...
Read moreMy daughter recently was married at the Ledges. For the most part, the event went well. The wedding planner and staff were helpful, and the prices were competitive. The scenery is lovely. We had trouble contacting the wedding planner on occasion during the preparation stage, but when we absolutely needed her, she was there.
The reason for the three stars is the food. The service was great, the food wasn't. We wanted to serve a good meal to the 140+ guests at the wedding, but we were disappointed and embarrassed by the quality. The salad seemed as though it had been prepared the day before--the lettuce was wilted and the croutons were soggy. The chicken was tough to eat; most guests just left it alone. When we complained later, we were told the reason for the food's condition was that picture-taking and some preliminary dancing delayed dinner by 25 minutes. Come on. Croutons don't get soggy and chicken doesn't toughen up in 25 minutes. Just be aware that if you expect a good meal at this venue, you're taking...
Read moreI was looking for a venue for my wedding and I talked to Lydia who is very nice to talk to over the phone. She sent me a couple of quotes and everything was nicely priced. The PDF she sent over showed some beautiful pictures of the mountains and beautiful valleys. I flew out to see this venue and I was not very impressed. The property owners of the ledges also own the property around it as well and they built up houses that block the views now. I thought, maybe I can deal with it because I was told, when you and your party are standing together, you don't see the houses. But while I was there, an old beer gut sport'n man came out onto his balcony in nothing but his underwear. Imagine that in your wedding pictures!
I dunno, not my cup of tea. The venue itself is decent but the pictures they send you are from angles that cut out the unsightly views or are old that doesn't show the build up that has happened and ruins the gorgeous view of...
