Hi, this past Wednesday my kids and I went to Olympia Water Park in Salinas. I must say, I wasn't expecting the long lines to go in and also more long lines to go on the water slides. But, all in all, it was fun and the water slides were great! There are 3 water slides where 2 people can sit together: One is called The Bowl which is like a gigantic funnel. I really loved this one! The next one is called La Cueva or The Cave which is a black tunnel of crazy swirls and zig zags and very fast, for me it was super scary. The last one is called Toro Negro which is like The Cave but all you see inside the tunnel is blue colors and extremely fast also. They also have two other water slides but for one person. One is an open water slide and the other one is enclosed. My son loved these! But the downside of these is the long wait. We waited for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour for all the water slides. But truly, worth the wait. Another downside is that there are few places to sit so you have to be the firsts to go in to get the best spots. This water park also has a gigantic wave pool. There are also many kiddie pools and rides for younger children. There are many food stations that offer pizza, nuggets, fried chicken and other food options. There are also a couple of ice cream and refreshment stands. The park also has lockers, located in the front of the park entrance and in the lobby area. The park opens at 10:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. They open from Tuesday to Sunday. To summarize, it was a good water park to refresh yourself from the heatwave but I found that the long lines and the amount of time you spend waiting in line cuts the fun in half. But, like I said, it's worth the wait because the rides are terrifyingly...
Read moreEasy entrance admittance. Park has a trolly which we rode to the main entrance. Very convenient. Sadly as soon as the park closed at 5pm ,the trolly was no longer available, so I had to walk with my family of 8 to the last lot. Maybe the trolly service should run until 6pm,as a courtesy. Upon arrival prices were decent. The wave pool was good, slides were fun. So now the bad, the food at the cafeteria, I ordered $100 worth of chicken tenders. I went back to the counter as an order was like rubber. I approached politely and when the front counter guy kindly told me give me a second, he turned to another worker (carla) and Carla said " that's how it comes! I thought to myself ,it comes rubbery? Then she tossed a replacement strip and stormed off to the back. The reviews were right some of the staff is unprofessional and rude, welp I found her. Then we visited the carne Frita pica pica and all the food was salty . The best was the soda, it wasn't salty. Lol. I would visit again but I will stay away from the food courts. The only staff that dealt with customer service that I would give 10 stars to is Alejandra. No matter how many endless times I bothered her to assist me with the locker being stuck closed, she happily opened it. I even thanks her personally, at the end of the day . She should be promoted to manager of customer service. ALEJANDRA was her name . See...
Read moreMy review is based on my experience. Prices are to high in my opinion. $25 adults, $20 children… parking $5(good price). Food are not allowed inside park. Only water bottle. I never bought food inside. The wait time for 1 slide was 1hr… waste a time!!!!!! 2 line for 2 slide, they allow 1 person at a time per slide. Another reason why I gave it a 2 star my Yeezy slides were stolen. Taken from my chair while I was inside the wave pool. Security couldn’t do anything. We saw a lady near our stuff, we came out, the lady seem normal, we didn’t think anything about it. We noticed 20mins later when I went to put my slides on to go to the restroom. Fast forward, we are eating food at local restaurant a town over and a women with a her 2 kids over heard us and mentioned that there’s a lady that walks around stealing Yeezy Slides, it’s been happening for a long time now. Beware everyone. Put all your belongings in a locker, all you need is a towel. What we enjoyed was...
