It took a moment to know where it would be okay to park. Beyond that, it was hot and shine people had their music up. No facilities so stop at a restroom kefir you get here. Beautiful scenery! And a nice breeze. If you are interested at all, GO! Take a friend and laugh, talk, enjoy! .

The Block U is nothing remarkable. I visited a while back and when I got there it wasn’t lit up. I also was hoping to hike a little bit, but you just drive up to it through the neighborhood and there’s no hiking trail. Looks good at night from afar though if it’s actually on.

This is a landmark that inspires pride amongst the Utes. It has a history of being lit to celebrate the U's sporting victories. It marks the beginning of a lot of exciting trails up into the mountains. The view of the valley from above is simply incredible.

The way that Google maps took us was through a private, closed-off neighborhood. It was definitely not the easy way to go! Find the close neighborhood on Google maps (e tomahawk drive) and there's a trail that goes from there to the U. It was just frustrating to even find our way up there, but the actual hike to the U ended up being...

Good view of the valley and Rice Eccles Stadium. Although it's right off the road, it is in a private subdivision and you'll probably have to park and walk half a mile to get to it. Besides the view and the twinge of Ute pride by going there, there isn't too much need to go there. Still cool and something to mark off your...

Ended up here on accident trying to trail run in the hills above. Just like most attractions near any college, it is cool but just trashed with beer cans and the such. It is always a bummer to think "oh this looks neat... And there is a 30 rack box and 30 empty cans right there... And there, oh and...
