This place is a ton of fun if you love getting bumped into by oblivious runners who are so self conceited and myopic that they don't realize other people actually exist in the world. I especially love getting my ankles assaulted by poorly trained dogs only to have the owner look at me as if I should be the one apologizing for upsetting the animal. Also, did you know that bagging your dogs waste in plastic makes it more biodegradable? That's what the dog owners up here must think because while they bag the waste they also just leave it out as a gift to the masses to appreciate. We are all in your debt...

Wonderful hikes along the actual shoreline of the ancient Bonneville super lake. Elected government officials and volunteer programs are trying to create bike, hike and dog friendly trails but still a little confusing at this point. Alot of the good trails are going to the bikers but it's nice not to have to worry about downhill bikers and the dramatic increase in the number of trails is a huge plus. Dog walkers are very polite and responsible. Still some dog owners leaving lots of uncollected poop around. At least put it in a bag people!!! I'll throw it...

This place is fantastic. Not only are there spectacular views of the city and beyond, there's great easy/medium+ trails for everyone. Dog friendly so bring your pup! Area says leashed but people have theirs off. Trash can at the beginning to dump poop. Pick up after your dog! Off road trails for biking are great!

Only downside is a small parking lot but plenty of...

A great hiking area. I’ve gone on a couple of the trails and none of them have been super steep so great for beginners. Never seen it super busy and there are lots of trails to explore. A lot of people bring dogs and have them off leash in case that is a concern for you. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking if it’s full. No bathrooms.

Easy to find, clearly maintained trails, multiple use, and gorgeous undeveloped area. So glad that the city invests in areas like this. Very dog and mountain bike friendly. There are doggy bags available here, and trash cans at the trailhead. Parking lot is closed 10pm to 5am.
