I provide a lot of detail to ensure anyone reading accurately and thoroughly understands this business is trustworthy and extremely skilled. You should be confident that they can care for your family heirlooms because I was very nervous to have mine worked on by anyone.

I broke a necklace passed down from my grandmother, searched around for jewelers, and went with The Bench Jeweler due to their reviews. I called at 10pm on a Tuesday hoping to leave a voicemail, but Talayna answered and we ended up speaking for close to an hour on the phone while I cried over the necklace and talked about other pieces I should get fixed. I met with her and her father, Greg, that same week. They both patiently explained to me what would be done with a very comforting discussion. I left them with a bracelet my father gifted to my mother before I was born to be fitted with a new clasp and re-engraved for my sister's wedding gift, two necklaces with snapped chains, and a herringbone bracelet in need of a new clasp and to be straightened out.

They completed everything within a month and the results speak for themselves. Everything turned out beautiful, they are such a joy to work with, and I will never go anywhere else for as long as they are open. They are lovely, personable, and highly skilled. We were looking for a place to melt down some gold rings to use to expand my gold bangle. Getting older has increased the width of my hands and I had difficulty getting my bangle off my wrist and hand. The bench jewellers measured the perfect size I needed and called me when it was finished.

They also changed my diamond studs into little dangle earrings. I had lost one diamond at IMC and a wonderful receptionist found it and was waiting for a call. They are now safely set and I am not afraid to wear them or lose them.

I am not sure who else would take the time or even consider resetting my diamond studs or making my bracelet wider with my donated gold. They did a great job on a resize, so we decided to use them for a ring creation - but that experience was mixed. The jeweler did a great job working with us to get a good design, but the execution from there was lacking. The original date of completion was missed, we had to repeatedly ask for updates on the progress and were given vague answers. We ended up getting the rings a day before we needed them. A detail was missed in craftsmanship (to make the rings sit flush), but it was too late to fix. The pricing was not transparent and we were surprised by the final work being 60% more than an original estimate. We gave a ring for trade in that originally cost $1200 for which they only credited us $100, claiming the modern diamond on the trade-in ring was only worth $10.
