Super Awesome off leash dog park with 2 separate areas for small and large dogs. Lots of doggie poop bag stations in the parking lot, in the dog park, and along the way there. Also each dog area has a working water fountain with 3 water spouts on each. One for the dog, one for a child and one for adults. Has 2 paths on either end that leads to the Beaver Lake Park. The hike is about 10 minutes to the lake. One path is along the road and is wood chipped for bikes. The other is more rugged and wheeled things will struggle to travel, but it’s also more tranquil and you can often catch owl nests and hear baby owls on both trails. Great community dog park with lots of friendly dogs and people. There is also a wooded areas at the back that is enclosed so for rainy and super hot and sunny days these trees provide lots shelter. They are also good for playing in this tranquil grove. Be mindful of the ballparks and diamonds between the parking lot and the dog park. Dogs are not allowed on the fields and you should pick up after the dog poops. Don’t leave dog poop for the kids to play. Sometimes when there are games, the parking lot can get busy, but we have always found parking. Also has a children’s playground and gazebo for parties that can be rented on the Beaver Lake park site. Totally...
Read moreThis is a great park!! Tons of open spaces plus a fun wooded area with walking paths. Also has a separate small dog area which is larger than most I've seen.
But, attention dog owners: please, PLEASE stop bringing the ball flingers to off-leash dog parks. First, ball flingers are not healthy for YOUR dog. Second, dogs do not understand possession- so what they see is someone waving a toy at them. If you are not prepared to have several dogs around you going after the ball, DO NOT BRING A BALL FLINGER TO AN OFF-LEASH DOG PARK. This includes when the ball is in the fling and you are holding it over your head waving it around to try and get the dog away. A dog still thinks you are waving a toy over your head for him. So please think and use caution before bringing toys to an off-leash dog park.
Playing hide and seek with your dog is a fun and excellent alternative, and this park is laid out beautifully for that, as it also has a pretty wooded area with walking paths and fun "obstructions" for your pup...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING. Large enough and frequented enough for your pup to have an absolute blast, but completely fenced off (and separate areas for large and small dogs) and super secure. The small dog area looks a bit, well, small. I have a Great Dane so outside of the first couple of months haven't been able to sniff an invite to that section... But, it looks like a decent track, albeit a 10th or 20th of the size of the large dog area... which has wooded walking paths, a dog fort (YES!), and a large section of well-mulched ground to ensure the mud stays at bay. If I was a better trainer, we'd be galloping all around Marymoor together. But, this place is much more chill and much more convenient. The city absolutely crushed it...
