Nestled approximately 15 miles southwest of the Alamo City, Traders Village San Antonio beckons visitors with its sprawling expanse and vibrant marketplace. It’s more than just a flea market; it’s a captivating blend of swap meet, shopping complex, county fair, and festival attraction all rolled into one.
As you step through the grand entrance, three colossal flag ,the American flag, the Texas flag, and the Traders Village flag wave tall and proud, inviting you into a world of discovery. Let’s explore what makes this place a must-visit for families, bargain hunters, and curious souls alike.

Whether you’re seeking vintage collectibles, quirky finds, or everyday essentials, this market has it all.
Picture this: over 1,000 vendors peddling their wares. From records and Pokémon cards to old-school typewriters from the 1930s, the variety is staggering. Sneakers, cowboy hats, sunglasses, and even live animals there’s no shortage of options. Serious shoppers can scope out vendors online beforehand, jotting down booth numbers for targeted exploration.

Kids’ eyes widen as they encounter life-sized replicas of prehistoric creatures. And if you need a spare key or a new remote control, there’s even an area dedicated to key and remote duplication.
The only lament? Traders Village opens its gates exclusively on weekends. Saturdays and Sundays. So plan accordingly. And while you’re welcome to explore, remember that furry companions must stay home; pets aren’t allowed.

Read moreTraders Village in San Antonio is one of our favorite weekend escapes, especially during the fall season. With over 100 acres of vendors, rides, and food stalls, it’s a vibrant, family-friendly flea market that blends culture, fun, and affordability. Parking is just $6 per car, and entry is free—perfect for families looking for a budget-friendly outing.
I’ve visited many times with my two daughters, and it’s become a cherished tradition every Halloween. The corn maze, pumpkin patch, and festive decorations create a magical atmosphere that delights kids and adults alike. Watching my girls pick pumpkins and race through the maze is a highlight of our year.
The market itself is a treasure hunt. From handmade crafts and vintage finds to toys, clothes, and quirky collectibles, there’s something for everyone. But what truly makes the experience special for my kids is the rides—they absolutely love them! The Ferris wheel, carousel, and other amusements are reasonably priced and add an extra layer of excitement to our visit.
And the food? It’s a feast of local flavor. We always stop for elotes, aguas frescas, and other delicious bites from the vendors. The variety and authenticity make it feel like a true San Antonio experience.

Read moreMy wife and I have been there several times. There is an event that has happened for many years there and we look forward to it every year. It's called The Alamo Aloha Festival. It always falls on the heels of an event that happens in Hilo Hawai'i called Merrie Monarch. I grew up in Hawai'i so I love the culture and the food. There is a large amount of parking available. There are two areas that have bathrooms with the ability for several people to use at once. The Staff there has always been very polite and friendly. If you have never been to Hawai'i or to Traders Village for this event then you don't know what you're missing. If you're curious then I would suggest to look up Merrie Monarch on YouTube and also the types of food that you might find in Hawai'i. There are also many other events that are put on at Traders Village. However the Alamo Aloha Festival is our favorite. I would recommend bringing some types of folding chairs. There are chairs provided just not enough for everyone that attends. Outside of the event area is the rest of Traders Village with hundreds of vendors in several categories. There's also an area that children would love to see with various rides. There's something for everyone to enjoy there. If you go to any of the events you might want to get there early because seating will become a source of Prime Real Estate. There is wheelchair accessibility throughout the entire area. There are several trash cans throughout...
