A special museum located in a historical 1920's building in San Benito, Texas, the city that conjunto music originated. The museum has a wonderful display of a recording studio, record pressing equipment, musical instruments, costumes, the individuals that created conjunto, as well as, those that continue to perform and promote this unique style of music, and more. The musican, Freddie Fender, grew up in the city of San Benito and became a famous conjunto and country musicain (note: when he recorded or performed conjunto music he spelled his first name "Freddie", but changed the spelling to "Freddy" with a "y" when he recorded/performed country music!) Texas Conjunto Music Hall of Fame also offers accordian lessons and has live music at the museum throughout the year.

Excellent new museum! Yesterday I greatly enjoyed the ribbon 🎀 cutting ceremony and the gorgeous 🔥🎨 mural creation by Uriel Landeros / Conquista & Alex Andro / Pop Culture for the city of San Benito"s grand opening of the Texas Conjunto Music Hall of Fame Museum!

Really cool place you can tell the caretaker was passionate about conjunto music. Honestly my brother is more of a fan but I am always open to learning about all genres of music and really did enjoy the tour. We even took a picture with an accordion and a guitar!

This place is amazing 👏 😍 🙌. Thanks for keeping the music alive. If you're from the valley, this place is a Gem, and out of towners stop by to listen and watch part of history from the valley a must visit museum.

Hospitality was out of this world. The entire family is very knowledgeable and so kind had a chance to catch a little concert on a Saturday afternoon. Thank you, it...

A must see when in the RGV.. you never know who you going to meet there and enjoy some invited guest bands with an unplug performance. I truly recommend taking a trip to the Texas Conjunto Hall of Fame Museum. They are a blessing for keeping our conjunto music history alive. Very worth the trip. God bless the Avila family. Greetings from Adan and Anna from Walla...
