San Benito Library — Attraction in San Benito

The San Benito Public Library may as well charge $5 to breath the oxygen inside the building the way they charge fees. $5 to retrieve your library card number. Not even for a new card, just to get your number so you can log onto the public computer. Ridiculous considering what an embarrassment it is compared to any of the neighboring cities with real public libraries. And the staff are as unhelpful as they are smug and condescending. I'd rather pay a fee to use the Harlingen...

This is a small library with limited hours of operation.

The cafe sells overpriced items, they ban outside drinks and food which is a down side.

The materials selection is limited due to the small building size.

The internet speed is fast though although seating is cramped and limited as well. It is common to see folks sitting on the floor wall hugging.

They need to build a new larger building and expand operational hours into...

A cute small library! Nice and clean with a good amount of seating. Clean bathroom. Lots of books and even a kids zone. They also have computers to use for the public. Very neat place. First time visiting. Will definitely be back....
