Keiller Neighborhood Park (Jamacha) — Attraction in San Diego

Maybe the stars just lined up...I don't know. But the vibe at Keiller Park was absolutely perfect for our weekend church picnic! The school next door provided overflow parking. The playground used my preferred material, sand, instead of the newer 'composite mixture' that seems to be gaining in popularity. Yuck! The trees were beautiful and the long grassy 'fairway' allowed for plenty of room for our Easter Egg Hunt....

Nice sized park with a simple playground and bathrooms. I gave 4 stars because the playground is sand which is fine is you don't mind sand everywhere. Large open grass field great for running or kicking a ball around. Walkable if you like in the area. Concrete walkway around playground good for kiddos riding scooters...

Needs more seating areas and shaded areas. The park has really great grass but a bunch of gopher holes. There are bunch of big trees that give solid shade but not in the playground area. Pretty great that it has bathrooms and seems overall well maintained. Even with the little things its...
