The Tiger trail exhibit at the SD Safari park is very good, probably the best tiger exhibit around. It was warm this last time (July) so the tigers were sleeping. One was sleeping right next to the glass and everyone seemed to enjoy getting a chance to see this tiger up close. I've been to this exhibit before and seen a tiger looking intently at the glass slowly walking towards us. Slightly unnerving. Sadly, I came to this area after it got dark outside. You cannot see a thing, literally. There are NO LIGHTS on the pathway here, except some coloful lights, but they are only pointed at the trees and dont help you see your own feet in front of you. Also, you cannot see any tigers or other animals...it is almost pitch black over here at nighttime. I do not recommend. I literally hit my head on a low-hanging tree branch walking on this path because i could not see....

The Sumatran tigers at the Safari Park are comfortable with the tourists and spend a lot of time up against the glass so it's easy to get a good view of them. The two cubs, now at late adolescence as of the end of 2024, join their mother Diana. The glass viewing walls have plenty of space to get up close and take pictures. The longhouse has a few items to eat, some tables to sit at, and some...

Sadly, I came to this area after it got dark outside. You cannot see a thing, literally. There are NO LIGHTS on the pathway here, except some coloful lights, but they are only pointed at the trees and dont help you see your own feet in front of you. Also, you cannot see any tigers or other animals...it is almost pitch black over here at nighttime. I do not recommend. I literally hit my head on a low-hanging tree branch walking on this path because i could not see. Very dangerous.
