Veterans Memorial Community Regional Park — Attraction in San Fernando

Beautiful ..safe..wilderness like park .well maintain park.. bathroom and picnic areas are clean very well kept up...patrol by sheriff and LA police very often...feel safe at this park with your family and friends., lots of hills to walk..steep trails at time trails that you can access from back of the park which will take you up the Giant mountains.. bring your good hiking shoes... water... lots of it.. if your going to trail hike all the way up when you get there on a very good clear day you can see the Ocean.!!!so they tell me...?🤔the hangglider sometimes will pop out way above The Giant mountains.Only a few blocks away you can watch them land..what a site...I had my boyscouts jamburee here back in the 80s haven't left...

The staff here can not be beat in any way they have out done any and all places ive ever been to in any type of buisnesz period! They were so nice very helpful extrememy educated and knew their stuff they knew just what to do and how much of it they saved my dogs life and guided me threw every step informed me of any and all procedures that were taken right away or before taken the procedure. They were comforting sincere caring and the best that has ever did it...if you want caring educated and prompt service or have a animal u luv and could be dying if theres a way to save your little loved 1 they will find it and witb a smile the whole way threw...YOU WONT FIND A BETTER VETERINARIAN I...

I've been a patron at the Veteran's park in Sylmar for over 7 years. Today, while my 4 year old played in the playground, I saw a couple sitting on the lawn near by smoking joints as their kids played on the playground with my kid. There is a clear sign at the entrance that says no smoking allowed anywhere in the park. I tried to contact the park and could not get through by phone or the website. This park needs more surveillance and proper access to contacting police or security. I am very disappointed by what I saw. This is the 2nd time I've seen smoking at this park. People need to respect the rules. Especially when children are around. The rules are there so that everyone can...
